Portroe National School has a very dedicated and committed team of talented teachers, SNAs & ancillary staff who work together to ensure that every child in our care reaches their full potential. In keeping with our Catholic ethos, we aim to foster a warm, welcoming, caring and Christian environment where relationships are strengthened from a bedrock of mutual respect.
We work hard on Literacy and Numeracy and also recognise the enormous importance of the Arts, sports and other aspects of the curriculum. We particularly enjoy music and performing together in our school choir at special school events. Physical activity is valued, promoted and enjoyed by all. Children engage in various sports such as hurling, camogie, football, athletics on a daily basis.
